Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen has made it clear that his stay at Galatasaray depends on head coach Okan Buruk’s fate.

According to All Nigeria Soccer, the striker has expressed strong support for Buruk despite the mounting criticism against the coach.

Diaspora digital media (DDM) gathered that Osimhen is currently in Kigali with the Super Eagles, preparing for Nigeria’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Rwanda.

He has taken a firm stance on the uncertainty surrounding Buruk’s future at the Turkish club.

In a direct message to Galatasaray’s management, Osimhen reportedly warned that he might leave if Buruk is dismissed.

“If he’s not in Galatasaray, I’m not in either next year,” Osimhen was quoted as saying.

His statement reinforces his loyalty to Buruk, who has been under immense pressure from fans and club officials.

Buruk has faced criticism following a series of disappointing performances in both domestic and international competitions.

Galatasaray suffered a European defeat to AZ Alkmaar, further fueling concerns about the team’s overall performance.

The club also struggled in the Turkish Super League, recording poor results against Fenerbahce and Kasımpasa.

Frustrated supporters have voiced their displeasure, with many demanding Buruk’s immediate removal as head coach.

Despite the criticism, Osimhen remains committed to supporting Buruk, whom he holds in high regard.

The Nigerian striker joined Galatasaray following discussions with Buruk in Italy before making his final decision.

Since then, Osimhen has developed a strong working relationship with the coach and believes in his long-term vision.

His stance has now created a dilemma for Galatasaray’s management, who must carefully consider their next move.

Retaining Buruk could help maintain stability within the squad and ensure Osimhen’s continued presence at the club.

However, dismissing Buruk could risk losing Osimhen, a key player who has already made an impact at Galatasaray.

Osimhen’s firm position has triggered intense debate in Turkey regarding the club’s future direction.

While he remains focused on Nigeria’s World Cup campaign, his remarks could significantly influence Galatasaray’s decisions.

The club’s leadership must now weigh their options and determine the best course of action.

Tensions are rising as fans and club executives eagerly await an official decision regarding Buruk’s future.

If Galatasaray chooses to part ways with Buruk, they may struggle to convince Osimhen to stay.

On the other hand, keeping Buruk could anger fans who have already lost patience with the coach.

Galatasaray is now at a crossroads, with their decision likely to impact the club’s fortunes in the coming seasons.

As speculation intensifies, all eyes will be on how the club navigates this managerial crisis.

Their choice will ultimately determine whether Osimhen remains at Galatasaray or seeks opportunities elsewhere.
