The publisher of Sahara Reporters, comrade Omoyele Sowore has alleged that over 50 people were killed during the build up of the just concluded Osun gubernatorial election.
He stated this in a post on his official Facebook page while speaking on the endorsement of President Bola Tinubu’s re-election by governor Ademola Adeleke after his victory on Sunday.
The African Action Congress (AAC) presidential hopeful in the post, launched scathing attack on governor Adeleke, describing him as a man that “has nothing upstairs”.
According to Sowore, the people who lost their lives in the violence were mostly Yoruba people and nobody has said anything about those killings.
He said “These evil people had to sacrifice close to 50 lives in violence before and during the Osun election, all just to prove that “agreement is agreement.”
“And when I said GOV ADEMOLA ADELEKE has nothing upstairs, it took him less than 24 hours after INEC declared him the winner to announce that he was supporting Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR’s re-election because Tinubu is a Yoruba man.
“Yet the people who lost their lives in the violence were mostly Yoruba people. Neither side has said anything about those killed. Who killed them? Who ordered or enabled the violence? Who is investigating their deaths? Where is the justice for their families?
“To them, what appears paramount is protecting family political interests, securing power and preserving access to the spoils of government, while ordinary Nigerians are left to carry the pain, grief and sorrow.
“Wicked people. #RevolutionNOW”.
