Nigerian streamer Habeeb Hamzat, popularly known as Peller, has shared a deeply emotional account of his time in detention, sparking reactions online.
In a statement circulating on social media, Peller described the experience as traumatic, revealing that he struggled to cope during the period he spent in custody.
“The police saw me in prison and kept asking me different questions but I couldn’t answer, I was just crying all through the four days… I didn’t eat for four days,” he said.
He further disclosed that influencer Elizabeth Amaduo, also known as Jarvis, was the only person who consistently checked on him during that time, bringing food and offering support despite his inability to eat.
Peller also expressed disappointment with his family, claiming that none of them visited him while he was detained, even though they were reportedly celebrating the opening of a new store at the time.
“I was in the prison, my family was doing a party after opening a new store… none of them came to check up on me,” he added.
His revelation has sparked mixed reactions online, with many expressing sympathy and highlighting the emotional toll of detention, while others debated the role of family support during difficult times.
