Nigerian street-hop singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has been arrested by the Nigeria Police Force.

According to Diaspora digital media (DDM), the arrest has sparked widespread reactions online after a video surfaced showing the singer in police custody.

The footage was shared on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter.

In the video, Portable is seen speaking with police officers in an animated tone.

He appeared confused and agitated as he tried to explain his side of the story.

The singer claimed that his arrest was linked to a petition filed against him in Ilorin, Kwara State.

He repeatedly mentioned the city of Ilorin as the origin of the complaint.

The short clip also showed Portable sitting inside a vehicle, surrounded by uniformed officers.

Though the exact nature of the petition remains unclear, the video has triggered public interest.

Several users took to the comment section to express concern and curiosity over the situation.

@EseosaImasuen wrote, “This guy and wahala.”

@GodIsGreat0000 added, “Hmmm Wetting him do again?”

@VickthorEdoh commented, “The other man in white said… I don’t know you from Adam.”

There has been no official statement from the police regarding the arrest or specific charges.

It is unclear if Portable will be released soon or detained pending further investigation.

The singer’s management has also remained silent as the video continues to circulate online.

This is not the first time Portable has had issues with law enforcement or controversy.

He became a national sensation in 2021 with the release of the hit song “Zazoo Zehh.”

The track featured industry heavyweights Olamide and Poco Lee, catapulting Portable into mainstream fame.

Since then, he has remained in the spotlight not only for music but also for frequent controversies.

He is known for his outspoken personality and erratic behavior both in public and on social media.

In 2023, Portable was involved in a legal tussle after allegedly assaulting someone during an altercation.

That incident led to a police invitation and a subsequent public apology from the singer.

Despite his string of controversies, Portable retains a loyal fanbase among Nigeria’s street music lovers.

His raw energy, unpredictable style, and catchy street anthems have become his signature.

He often draws attention with bold statements, dramatic appearances, and unfiltered interactions online.

Critics, however, continue to question his behavior and frequent brushes with law enforcement.

The recent arrest has once again placed the singer under intense public scrutiny.

Many Nigerians are now watching closely to see how the situation unfolds.

As of the time of this report, the petition’s content and the police’s next steps remain undisclosed.

Fans and followers are waiting for clarity as they share mixed reactions to the viral footage.

For now, Portable remains in custody, with uncertainty surrounding the outcome of the case.
