Private jet carrying VIPs crashes in Ibadan

The capital of Oyo State, Ibadan, is where a private jet carrying roughly ten people, including Very Important Personalities (VIPs), crashed to earth.

The jet crash landed at Samuel Ladoke Akintola Airport on Friday morning, according to sources.

The aircraft, registered N580KR, veered off the runway and into a nearby bush.

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) dispatched firefighters and emergency authorities to the location right away. However, no casualties or deaths were reported.

“It was an Abuja-based private aircraft. Although it overshot the runway, it landed safely. Over the phone, Carol Adekotujo, a representative for the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), informed our correspondent that there had been no casualties.

Tunji Oketunmbi, a spokesman for the Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau (NSIB), confirmed the occurrence when contacted.
