Senate Wades Into Kanu Nwankwo, AMCON Hotel Property Crisis

Senate directed its committee on Banking, Insurance & other financial to investigate crisis between  former Super Eagles captain, Nwankwo Kanu & AMCON

Senate on Tuesday directed its standing committee on Banking , Insurance and other financial to investigate crisis between  former Super Eagles captain, Nwankwo Kanu and Assets Management Company of Nigeria, AMCON.

AMCON had taken possession of Hardly Apartment, a hotel situated in Lagos over unpaid loan obtained by the board of Directors of Kanu’s heart foundation. 

Coming on point of order on the matter,  the Deputy Senate leader,  Senator Bala Ibn Na’Allah to look into the matter because the loan was obtained without the consent of the former super eagle captain by board of Directors of Kanu’s Heart Foundation.

ASSET Man-agement Corp-oration of Nigeria, AMCON, had called on Nigerians to disregard any claim on Hardley Apartments Hotel by former Super Eagles captain, Nwankwo Kanu, as the case has not been decided by the law court.

This came after Kanu alerted the world on the refusal of AMCON to respect court orders by refusing to release his hotel located on Victoria Island, Lagos, which was hitherto put under temporary possession of AMCON.
