Senator Samuel Anyanwu has officially resumed his duties as the National Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at the National Secretariat in Abuja. This comes in the wake of a Federal High Court judgment on Tuesday, affirming Anyanwu as the legitimate National Secretary of the party.

The Federal High Court in Abuja, presided over by Justice Inyang Ekwo, delivered his judgment declaring Senator Samuel Anyanwu as the valid National Secretary of the PDP. Justice Ekwo further issued a restraining order against the National Leadership of the party, preventing the appointment of any person during the remaining four years of Anyanwu’s tenure, which subsists until December 9, 2025, as stipulated by the party’s constitution.

In a widely circulated video, Senator Samuel Anyanwu was seen arriving at the National Secretariat, greeted by jubilant Secretariat staff and supporters. The atmosphere was charged with excitement as he made his way to his office, with cheers and warm welcomes echoing through the corridors.

This development marks a crucial chapter in the internal dynamics of the PDP, as the party now navigates a path forward with Senator Samuel Anyanwu reinstated as the National Secretary, backed by a court ruling affirming the legitimacy of his tenure. The political landscape awaits the implications and potential shifts following this legal resolution.
