Sports philanthropist asks Super Eagles to focus on World Cup qualification

Leading sports philanthropist and Pillar of Sports in Nigeria, Chief Donatus Agu-Ejidike JP, has asked the Super Eagles to put behind it, agony of defeat at the finals at the All African Cup of Nations, AFCON, but focus on qualifying for the World Cup.
Chief Ejidike made this call while redeeming his pledge that the national team will get N1 million from him for every goals scored in the AFCON final.
Nigeria lost to host country, Cote d’Ivoire by 1-2 at the final.
In the same vein, Chief Ejidike who is the Patron of “The Nigerian Football Supporters Club” (NFSC) redeemed his pledge of giving the team a sum of ₦1million for every single goal scored in the final match against the Ivoriens.
Nnewi-born business man with widespread contact across the country was former president of the Karate Federation of Nigeria (KFN).
As part of ways of motivating the national team in AFCON, the chief made the monetary promise.
Ejidike therefore enjoins the players to be focused more on the remaining world Cup qualifying matches to ensure that the team does not miss out on the train to the next World Cup, billed to be hosted by the trio of Canada, Mexico and USA, come 2026.
