Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar III, The Sultan of Sokoto and President-General, Nigeria Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, on Wednesday affirmed that those who claim to be killing people to please ‘God’ will end up in hell’.
Abubakar made this statement when popular singer, Innocent Idibia, otherwise known as 2baba, paid him a courtesy call in Sokoto.
The Sultan, added that Islam and Christianity preached peace and love among their faithful. According to Abubakar, no human being can claim to love God without loving his neighbour. “Religion is a personal choice of an individual. Therefore, nobody can force any religion on anybody. Suicide bombers are going to hell.”
It should also be noted that few days back, the monarch had said though Christians were not believed to be terrorists, they committed wicked crimes against humanity.
