Trump embarrasses Ukrainian President Zelensky, cancels press conference

President Donald Trump of the United States, on Friday, February 28, 2025, embarrassed Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky during the latter’s visit at the oval office.

President Trump even went as far as cancelling the press conference he was holding with President Zelensky.

During the conference, the United States Vice President James David Vance embarrassed the Ukrainian President even more, saying he is ‘disrespectful and unappreciative’.

After the conference, Trump took to his social media handle on Truth Social, @realDonaldTrump, to state that “Zelenskyy is not ready for Peace”.

The statement from President Trump reads as follows:

“We had a very meaningful meeting in the White House today.

“Much was learned that could never be understood without conversation under such fire and pressure.

“It’s amazing what comes out through emotion, and I have determined that President Zelenskyy is not ready for Peace if America is involved…

“He feels our involvement gives him a big advantage in negotiations.

“I don’t want advantage, I want PEACE.

“He disrespected the United States of America in its cherished Oval Office.

“He can come back when he is ready for Peace.”

Vice President Vance, on his part, said that the Ukrainian President was being disrespectful and unappreciative during the heated argument.

Below are some of the embarrassing remarks from Trum and Vance during the heated argument:

• “Do you think that it’s respectful to come to the Oval Office of the United States of America and attack the administration that is trying to prevent the destruction of your country?”
• “Have you said thank you once? Offer some words of appreciation for the United States of America and the president who is trying to save your country.”
• “You’re gambling with the lives of millions of people. You’re gambling with World War 3.”

President Trump even silenced Zelensky after he tries to interrupt, saying: “No no. You’ve done a lot of talking.”

President Trump, thereafter, practically kicked Zelensky out of the White House and cancelled the press conference.

“Zelensky is not ready for peace…

“He disrespected the United States of America in its cherished Oval Office.

“He can come back when he is ready for peace,” he tormented the stricken Zelensky.

The United States leader further terminated the support for Ukraine’s power grid restoration after kicking Zelensky out of the White House.

However, in a consolation move, German Chancellor Scholz told Zelensky that Ukraine can rely on Germany and Europe for support after a woeful outing at the White House.
