Republican Senator Mike Lee has strongly criticized a growing protest trend involving the numbers “8647.”

According to Diaspora digital media (DDM) correspondent in U.S, he urged all Americans, including Democrats, to publicly denounce the controversial slogan.

The call came after weekend protests targeting both former President Donald Trump and entrepreneur Elon Musk.

Demonstrators in several U.S. states carried signs with slogans like “We are not okay” and “Hands off the USA.”

Prominently displayed among them was the cryptic number “8647,” now at the center of national debate.

According to online interpretations, “86” is slang for “get rid of” or “eliminate.”

The number “47” refers to Donald Trump as the 47th president during his current campaign for a second term.

Combined, “8647” has been read as a coded message suggesting a desire to remove or harm Trump.

This interpretation has sparked widespread alarm among conservatives and public figures.

Senator Lee shared images from a Minnesota protest, allegedly held near Attorney General Keith Ellison’s office.

In a post on his official X (formerly Twitter) account, he demanded swift condemnation from Democratic leaders.

“All Americans should condemn this including Democrats. Starting with @keithellison,” Lee wrote on the platform.

The number “8647” reportedly originated from TikTok and other social media platforms.

Some users claim the code is a symbolic protest against Trump’s policies and leadership style.

Others warn the slogan can be dangerously misinterpreted as inciting violence or extremism.

The protests were part of a larger movement known online as the “Hands Off” campaign.

Supporters of the movement express frustration over what they perceive as political overreach and authoritarian leadership.

Critics argue that using veiled language increases risks of violence and fuels political division.

Law enforcement agencies have previously cautioned against ambiguous symbols in public demonstrations.

They warn such trends can spread rapidly and lead to unintended consequences.

The U.S. Secret Service and FBI monitor threats involving political figures and symbolic rhetoric.

Experts emphasize that free speech must not cross into harmful or inciteful territory.

As the 2024 presidential election approaches, political tensions in America continue to intensify.

Senator Lee insists that all political parties must reject dangerous speech regardless of the messenger.

He believes unity and accountability are necessary to preserve democratic principles in times of conflict.

While protest remains a constitutional right, leaders stress responsibility in public discourse is equally important.

The debate over “8647” reveals growing concern over how social media shapes political activism today.

It also highlights the power and risk of coded messages in modern protest movements.

The controversy has ignited a wider conversation about boundaries in political expression.

For now, “8647” remains a symbol of both resistance and risk in the eyes of many Americans.
