According to sources, the hack was discovered earlier today, and an investigation is currently underway.

The Treasury Department has notified the relevant authorities, including the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security, and is working closely with them to contain and mitigate the attack.

While details of the hack are still scarce, officials have confirmed that the attackers suspected to be based in China, gained unauthorized access to the department’s network.

The extent of the damage and the sensitive information that may have been compromised are still unknown.

The Treasury Department has assured that it is taking all necessary steps to secure its systems and protect sensitive information.

The department’s website and other online services are currently operational, but some services may be temporarily unavailable as a precautionary measure.
