A woman whose identity is yet to be known, has been arrested by the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons and Other Related Matters (NAPTIP), Anambra State Command for beating her maid to death and dumping the body in a bush.
In a viral video which was sighted by News Band, the suspect led NAPTIP officials to the bush where she dumped the already decomposing body of the child.
While speaking in Igbo language over what transpired, the woman said, “I beat her and she started convulsing so I took her to Kings (hospital). Getting there, she died, so I threw her body here.”
Meanwhile, at the time of filing this report, Anambra State police command is yet to issue a statement over the unfortunate incident
