I Never Said Buhari Will Work From Home ― Lai Mohammed Denies

The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed has denied saying that President Muhammadu Buhari would work from home henceforth.

Alhaji Mohammed made the denial in a statement issued in Abuja on Wednesday by his Special Adviser, Segun Adeyemi.

According to the statement, the minister said the reporting in a section of the media of his statement after the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting is ‘erroneous’.

He said, “the President only decided to work from home today, not that he has decided to work from home henceforth”.

He said the headlines in a section of the media, “Buhari to now work from home – Lai Mohammed,” is a misrepresentation of his statement at the briefing.

The President on Wednesday failed to show up for the Federal Executive Council for the second time in a row.

This sparked speculations on the true state of his health.

Though the meeting did not hold last week, the President was also absent from the last meeting, held two weeks ago.

Like the last time Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo presided over the meeting.

President Buhari returned home in March after nearly two months’ medical vacation in the United Kingdom.
