Ejime bags MBA with distinction at UK University

Nigeria’s Emmanuella Onyinye EJIME was among the more than 2,000 Class of 2017 students of different nationalities who earned their post-graduate degrees, certificates and diplomas from the Coventry University, London this year.

Ejime received an MBA with Distinction in Global Business during the graduation ceremony held 24 November 2017 at Guildhall, City of London, and attended by her parents Paul and Adeline Ejime and other family members and friends.

Following her excellent performance in the MBA programme, she was awarded a fully funded PhD scholarship in Marketing and Finance from another prestigious UK University.

A law graduate of Nigeria’s Madonna University; Ejime, who recently organised a well-attended Get ahead Seminar in Lagos to equip Nigerian graduates with employability skills, was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2014 and earned her LLM in International Commercial Law at Kingston University London in January 2016.

Ejime’s two mentors Prof Callum Morrison and Mrs Adaora Nwankwo-Onyiuke, were very delighted at her achievements.

With a student population of more than 29,000 from over 100 nationalities, Coventry University, formerly Lancaster Polytechnic and then Coventry Polytechnic, before attaining the status of a University in 1992, is among the top 20 British Universities, winning the Modern University Award for three consecutive years  – 2014, 2015 and 2016.

The University Pro-Vice-Chancellor and CEO, Dr Janet Hannah, urged the graduates to sustain the school’s high standards as products of high ranking UK University and a global leader in higher education.

Opening the colourful proceedings, the Pro-Chancellor, David Burton said Coventry University had become part of a “global organisation” for impactful learning, research and experience sharing.

He expressed the hope that the graduates would look back with pride at the important role that the university had played in their lives and put into practice the acquired knowledge.
