An Ilorin Magistrate’s court has remanded one Jimoh Lukman, 45, for allegedly raping his 14-year-old daughter.
According to the police report, Lukman who was charged for incest had been indulging in the unlawful act for several months before his wife, Sidikat, caught him and subsequently reported the matter.
“The defendant (Jimoh), had been intimidating and threatening to deal with the victim and her mother if they exposed the criminal act to anyone or to any law enforcement agent”, the sheet added.
The prosecutor, Sanni Abdullah, urged the court to remand the suspect.
Magistrate Aminat Omotayo Shittu, who presided over the matter, granted the prosecutor’s request and ordered the defendant’s remand while the matter was adjourned to December 22, 2022.
