Bandits attack Kaduna hospital, kidnap nurses, patients

Terrorists operating under the guise of bandits have attacked a Primary Healthcare Centre in Kuyallo, located in the Birnin-Gwari Local Government Area of Kaduna State, abducting two nurses and an unspecified number of patients.

The incident, which took place around 9am on Monday, has left the community in serious shock.

Initial reports suggest that the gunmen first targeted the nearby Government Day Secondary School, but finding it empty, they turned their attention to the healthcare facility.

The unfortunate incident was confirmed by Musa Alhassan, a leader of the local vigilante group in the community.

He said, “They came looking for students, but when they discovered the school was vacant, they went straight to the health centre and began abducting people.”

This attack is the latest in a string of assaults targeting healthcare facilities and communities in Kaduna State.

Both police authorities and the State government are yet to issue a statement in respect to the development.
