Police authorities in Lagos state have arrested three suspects over alleged possession of human parts.
The arrest was disclosed in a statement by the spokesman of the command in Lagos, SP Benjamin Hundeyin on Tuesday.
He said two suspects were taken into custody on Oct. 15 while traveling in a taxi along the Otedola Bridge during a routine stop-and-search operation.
“Further investigations led the operatives to the apprehension of the third suspect, from whom the parts were bought in Oyingbo Market, Lagos,” the police image maker said.
He noted that the case is currently under investigation at the command’s headquarters.
Mr Hundeyin added that the suspects would face prosecution if found guilty after the investigation concludes.
