In a decisive operation under Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK), the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) successfully executed an air interdiction.

This mission effectively neutralized numerous Islamic State of West Africa Province (ISWAP) terrorists while obliterating their logistics hub in Arina, situated in Marte Local Government Area of Borno State.

According to intelligence reports from Zagazola Makama, the operation occurred on March 9, 2025, around 0600 hours.

The mission was initiated based on actionable intelligence gathered from credible human intelligence (HUMINT) and confirmatory intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) efforts.

These intelligence sources identified unusual movements and a significant gathering of terrorists in the area, leading to the launch of a coordinated airstrike.

The precision strikes targeted key ISWAP assets, including logistics hubs, structures, and fighters.

The operation dealt a severe blow to the group’s operational infrastructure, significantly degrading their ability to conduct further attacks against civilian and military targets.

“The precision airstrikes effectively neutralized many ISWAP fighters and disrupted their logistics chain in the area.

The operation further weakens the group’s ability to launch attacks on civilian and military targets,” a source familiar with the operation stated.
