Immigration boss, Martin Abeshi fired by President Buhari

The Comptroller-General of Nigerian Immigration Service [NIS], Martin Abeshi has been booted out of office, Elombah.com has learnt.

Although yet to be made official, Mr. Abeshi was shown the door by the Muhammadu Buhari-led administration for undisclosed reasons.

Insiders, though, believe that the decision is not unconnected to his handling of the recent replacement in the service.

The Comptroller General allegedly employed his third wife and his eldest son into the service.

Even some staff could not hide their excitement when the news filtered into their headquarters.

When he was appointed CG, September last year, Abeshi was already due for a three-month terminal leave beginning from October 2015.

No wonder the squabbles between the Immigration boss and some of his deputies and assistants, DCGs, and ACGs.

They evidently were not happy that the CG was still in office when he ought to have retired from the service since December 2015.

Recently, some officers of the Nigeria Immigration Service alleged heavy corruption by Mr. Abeshi in the posting of personnel for foreign trips.

In a petition written to President Muhammadu Buhari, two serving immigration officers accused Abeshi of collecting money from officers eager to travel abroad on foreign missions.

When on these missions, the officers who have a minimum of four years to spend abroad receives allowances totaling about $20,000 (N3,981,000) monthly.

In the petition, these officers who are eager to go on the foreign missions, were said to have bought their ways into Abeshi’s list by going into strong covenant with him.

The officers vow to remit their first allowance to the comptroller general and his associates.

The aggrieved officers in their petition called on the president to investigate the allegation within the NIS and stop the corrupt activities in the service.

In the meantime, we await official response from the presidency as our calls to President Buhari’s media aide, Garba Shehu was unanswered. Large selection of girls sex dating in Kharkiv with beautiful girls.
