(DDM) – President Donald Trump has announced the destruction of a major bridge in Iran, escalating tensions in the ongoing conflict between both nations.
Diaspora Digital Media (DDM) confirmed that Trump disclosed the development on Thursday, claiming that the tallest bridge in Iran had been successfully targeted and destroyed.
The U.S. leader shared footage on social media showing thick smoke rising from what he identified as the B1 Bridge located in Karaj, approximately 35 kilometres southwest of Tehran.
According to Trump, the strike forms part of ongoing military operations linked to the five-week war between the United States and Iran.
He issued a strong warning to Iranian authorities, declaring that further destruction would follow if Iran fails to come to the negotiating table.
Trump had earlier intensified rhetoric by threatening to bomb Iran “back to the Stone Ages,” a statement that has drawn global attention and concern.
Security analysts say the reported destruction of key infrastructure could significantly disrupt transportation and logistics within affected regions.
They warn that targeting major infrastructure may deepen the humanitarian and economic impact of the conflict.
Observers also note that the public release of strike footage signals a strategic communication move aimed at demonstrating military capability.
The development is expected to heighten fears of further escalation in an already volatile Middle East situation.
International stakeholders have continued to call for restraint and diplomatic engagement to prevent a wider regional crisis.
As tensions rise, attention remains on whether Iran will respond militarily or opt for negotiations in the face of mounting pressure.
