Police in Kebbi State have arrested a 25-year-old man for killing his elder brother, Muhammed Haruna, and the victim’s wife, Habiba.
The reported killing took place in Asarara village, Kimba District of Jega Local Government Area of Kebbi State.
According to Kebbi police command, the suspect allegedly attacked the couple with a cutlass after threatening them on several occasions before the incident.
Mr. Bashir Usman, the spokesman of the command, revealed that the Commissioner of Police, Umar M. Hadejia, had ordered the transfer of the case to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for detailed investigation.
The unfortunate incident has stirred concern among residents of the community as investigations continue.
