GHC Team Celebrates Iloabanafor, Renews Anti-Malaria Drive

The Activation Team of the Geneith Health Competition (GHC) has congratulated the competition’s initiator and Managing Director of CEOAFRICA, Prince Cletus Sunday Iloabanafor, on the occasion of his birthday, while reaffirming its dedication to advancing the campaign against malaria across Nigeria.

In a statement issued on Sunday and signed by Emmanuel Adams on behalf of the team, members described Iloabanafor as a visionary leader whose contributions to media development, public communication, technology, and healthcare advocacy continue to impact lives across the country and beyond.

The team praised his leadership, innovation, and commitment to national development, noting that his efforts have earned him recognition in various sectors, including journalism, information and communication technology, and social development.

According to the statement, Iloabanafor’s birthday serves not only as a personal milestone but also as an opportunity to celebrate his enduring contributions to society and his commitment to initiatives that promote public welfare.

The team highlighted his role in inspiring young Nigerians through responsible leadership and service, describing him as a dedicated professional whose work continues to encourage positive change.

Speaking on behalf of the activation team, Adams commended Iloabanafor’s courage, vision, and determination in championing causes that support national progress.

He noted that the celebrant’s commitment to healthcare advocacy and social development has created opportunities for meaningful engagement and community impact, particularly through initiatives aimed at addressing critical public health challenges.

Members of the team also acknowledged Iloabanafor’s efforts in promoting public participation, democratic engagement, and development-focused discourse. They said his work has consistently encouraged citizens to contribute to building a more inclusive and prosperous society.

The statement further highlighted several recognitions and honours received by Iloabanafor for his contributions to media excellence, humanitarian service, and socio-economic development.

Among them is a Lifetime Achievement Award presented during a conference in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, in 2022, as well as the Arikana Excellence Award conferred by the African Diaspora Development Institute in Washington, D.C., in 2023.

The team also referenced numerous awards from educational institutions, youth organisations, professional bodies, and non-governmental organisations in recognition of his contributions to public service, education, healthcare advocacy, and community development.

As a digital media and ICT professional, Iloabanafor has participated in several international engagements focused on language preservation, digital transformation, and sustainable development across Africa. His involvement in African Union language and development initiatives reflects his commitment to advancing continental growth and the objectives of Agenda 2063.

The celebration comes as CEOAFRICA marks more than a decade of operations, having established itself as a prominent media platform providing news coverage, documentary production, digital communication services, and strategic partnerships across Africa.

Responding to the goodwill messages, Iloabanafor stated that his greatest birthday wish remains the achievement of a malaria-free Nigeria. He emphasized that the success of interventions capable of reducing malaria-related illnesses and deaths would be the most meaningful celebration of his life’s work.

According to him, the Geneith Health Competition was designed to engage young people, healthcare professionals, and communities in practical efforts to combat malaria, one of Nigeria’s most persistent public health concerns.

Also speaking, the Chairman of Geneith Pharmaceutical and sponsor of the competition urged all ambassadors and stakeholders involved in the anti-malaria campaign to intensify their efforts toward ensuring the initiative achieves its objectives.

He encouraged participants and volunteers to strengthen grassroots awareness campaigns and community engagement activities to expand the reach and impact of the programme nationwide.

As preparations continue for the implementation of the Geneith Health Competition, members of the activation team expressed confidence that the initiative will contribute significantly to healthcare awareness, innovation, and malaria prevention efforts across the country.
