A member of the Nigerian Air Force has publicly accused a fellow soldier of fraud, alleging that the colleague collected ₦6,000 under the pretense of purchasing military kits but failed to deliver the items.
In a video circulating online, the aggrieved serviceman claimed he had borrowed the money from his wife specifically for the purchase, only for the accused colleague to allegedly disappear after receiving the funds. Expressing disappointment, he described the incident as a betrayal from within the ranks.
“This case is a warning to every soldier in the Nigerian military. Your fellow soldier can be worse than the devil, so be careful,” he said, while also identifying the accused as someone he personally knew and worked with.
The incident has sparked reactions online, with many expressing concern over trust and accountability within close professional circles, especially in disciplined institutions like the military. Others have called for internal investigations and appropriate disciplinary action if the allegations are proven true.
As of now, there has been no official statement from the Nigerian Air Force regarding the claims.
