Singer Peter Okoye has said he is ready to share his side of the long-running issues surrounding the breakup of music duo P-Square.

Peter, popularly known as Mr P, made the comment as discussions surrounding the group and the circumstances that led to the separation of the famous twin brothers continue to attract public attention.

According to the singer, he had deliberately stayed away from trying to shape public opinion about the dispute, but now feels it is time to tell his own story.

“These guys have been speaking. Now, it’s time to tell my own truth. I didn’t do it for public opinion; I just felt like the fans of P Square needed justice for what happened to their P Square,” Peter said.

His statement suggests that the singer intends to provide his own account of the events surrounding the group’s internal disagreements, particularly after different sides of the story have been discussed publicly.

P-Square, made up of Peter and his twin brother Paul Okoye, became one of Africa’s biggest music acts after years of hit songs, energetic performances and a strong brotherly brand.

However, the duo have experienced several highly publicised disputes over the years, eventually leading to their separation and pursuit of solo careers. Peter continued as Mr P, while Paul adopted the Rudeboy stage name.

Their disagreements have repeatedly generated intense reactions from fans, many of whom have remained interested in the possibility of reconciliation and the reasons behind the brothers’ fallout.

Peter’s latest comments have now raised expectations that he could reveal more details about his perspective on the dispute.

His remarks have already sparked renewed interest in the P-Square story, with fans waiting to hear what the singer says when he fully opens up about the issues surrounding the once-celebrated music partnership.
