PalmPay has warned customers to beware of fraudsters impersonating its customer support representatives to steal personal information and gain unauthorised access to their accounts.

The warning comes amid growing concerns about digital payment fraud as more Nigerians rely on mobile financial platforms for transfers, bill payments and other transactions.

Fraudsters often pose as support agents and contact customers through phone calls, text messages or social media, claiming they need account details to resolve transaction issues.

Customers are advised never to disclose their passwords, PINs or one-time passwords (OTPs) to anyone claiming to represent the company.

Users should also verify support channels through PalmPay’s official platforms and avoid clicking suspicious links or transferring money to individuals promising to resolve account problems.

The warning highlights the importance of digital security as fintech services continue to expand across Nigeria.

PalmPay customers are encouraged to report suspicious communications through verified support channels and remain vigilant when handling financial information.
