The Ministry of Health Ghana has officially announced the commencement of a new recruitment drive for qualified medical and dental officers across the country.

Diaspora Digital Media (DDM) reports that the exercise is scheduled to begin on Friday, May 16, 2025, and targets professionals who have completed their housemanship and have been duly verified by the Medical and Dental Council of Ghana.

According to a statement issued by the Director of General Administration, Mr. Frank Raji, only candidates listed under the 34th and 35th verified batches are eligible to apply.

The recruitment aims to strengthen the country’s healthcare workforce and improve service delivery, particularly in public health institutions.

Applicants are required to log on to the Ministry’s Human Resource portal at https://hr.moh.gov.gh and follow the instructions to complete their application process.

Candidates will also have the option to select their preferred agency or institution under the Ministry of Health during the application process.

The deadline for the submission of applications is Monday, May 26, 2025, at exactly 6:00 p.m.

Mr. Raji emphasized that the recruitment process will be conducted in a fair and transparent manner, with strict adherence to due process.

He cautioned applicants against engaging with individuals who claim they can influence the process in exchange for money.

“Anyone who pays money to a third party for recruitment assistance does so at their own risk,” he warned.

The Ministry further stated that it will not be liable for any consequences resulting from such unauthorized transactions.

Ghana’s public health sector has faced persistent challenges, including staff shortages, especially in rural and underserved regions.

The ongoing recruitment is seen as part of broader efforts by the government to address these gaps and ensure equitable access to quality healthcare nationwide.

Healthcare stakeholders have welcomed the initiative, viewing it as a positive step toward revitalizing the national health system.
