In a rare public address, Mossad chief David Barnea has praised Israeli agents for their daring role in the recent airstrikes against Iranian nuclear and military targets, confirming deep CIA involvement and warning that Israel will continue to monitor Iran’s activities with full force.
“We will remain vigilant, keeping a close eye on all the projects in Iran, which we know of, in the deepest way.
We will be there as we have been until now,” Barnea declared in a televised address to his agents.
Barnea expressed “deep appreciation” for the CIA, calling the U.S. agency a “main partner” and crediting the joint operation for the mission’s success.
The comments followed the end of a 12-day Israel-Iran conflict, which was halted under a U.S.-brokered ceasefire on Tuesday.
During the air war, Mossad operatives reportedly infiltrated Iran to sabotage weapons systems, a senior Israeli security official told Reuters earlier this month.
Echoing Barnea’s remarks, Israeli military chief Lieutenant General Eyal Zamir said the attacks had inflicted serious damage on Iran’s nuclear capabilities.
“The Iranian nuclear program has suffered a harsh, broad and deep blow and has been set back years,” Zamir stated in a Wednesday night broadcast.
The strikes reportedly targeted Iranian nuclear scientists, military commanders, and key infrastructure, crippling Tehran’s ability to quickly resume enrichment activities, according to Israeli officials.
According to sources cited by Reuters, Mossad and Israel’s military had been planning the attack for years, gathering intelligence on Iran’s weapons program.
The operation was greenlit amid heightened global concerns over Iran’s push toward weapons-grade uranium prior to the conflict.
While Iran maintains that its nuclear ambitions are purely civilian, Western intelligence has consistently expressed concerns over its potential to develop nuclear weapons.
Barnea’s message was clear: even with the ceasefire in place, Israel will not let its guard down.
“We will be there as we have been,” he reiterated, signaling Mossad’s continued covert activity and willingness to strike again if Iran resumes its program.
With the CIA partnership now publicly acknowledged, this marks one of the clearest signals yet that Israel and the U.S. remain tightly aligned in their shared stance against a nuclear-armed Iran.
