Uzodimma swears in Permanent Secretaries in Imo

Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma, has sworn in 24 newly appointed Permanent Secretaries in Owerri, emphasizing the importance of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to the state’s development.

The ceremony took place at the Executive Council Chambers of the Government House and marks a significant step in strengthening the Imo State civil service .

During his address, Governor Uzodinma highlighted that the appointments were based purely on merit and objectivity, without external influence or favoritism.

He urged the new Permanent Secretaries to serve with diligence and dedication, stressing that their roles are crucial in driving government policies and programs to fruition .

The sworn-in Permanent Secretaries include Ejiaku Ngozi, Ihezue Samuel, Chukwudi Chukwuma O. Iheanacho, Noku John Onyedik, Egwuagu Gloria, Obilor – Chidi Angela N., Iroh Gabriel Anosike, Nnaji Dorathy Igaturuchi, Amafili Isabella Kelechi, Engr. Izuwa Obilor, Onyeagocha Onyinyechi, Okeji Augustine Chidiebere, Okafor Chukwunyeaka Linus, Nwosu Ndidiamaka Roseline, Moneme Judith Fred, Iwuagwu Paulina Ifeoma, Okorie Benedicta Chinonye, Chibuzo B. Obinna, Adinnu Kennedy O., Ndubueze Augustina Nkechi, Utazi Dorathy C., Dr. Alexander Onwumere, Ieoma Assumpta U., and Iheka Scholastica.

Each of the newly sworn-in Permanent Secretaries received an official vehicle from the State government to enhance their efficiency and ensure smooth operations in their respective Ministries.

Governor Uzodinma reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to the Imo State Civil Service, pledging sustained statutory and institutional support to ensure optimal performance across all sectors.

Chidiebere Okeji, who spoke on behalf of the new Permanent Secretaries, expressed gratitude to the State government for the opportunity and pledged that they would work diligently to support the administration’s development agenda.

It’s worth noting that Governor Uzodinma has previously sworn in other government officials, including five Commissioners in January 2025, to strengthen governance in Imo State.

The Governor emphasized the significance of the appointments, describing them as a testament to his administration’s commitment to competence, efficiency, and progress .
