Bauchi governor vows to remove APC with its failed policies, criticizes Wike’s support for the party in 2027
DDM News

Bauchi State Governor, Sen. Bala Mohammed, has publicly committed to ousting the All Progressives Congress (APC) from power in the upcoming 2027 elections.
His statement came as a direct response to the recent pledge by Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister Nyesom Wike, who vowed to support the APC in its bid for re-election. Diaspora digital media (DDM) reported.
Mohammed criticized Wike for his support of the APC, despite claiming to oppose the party.
He accused Wike of betraying his position by aligning with a party whose policies he has often criticized.
The Bauchi governor suggested that Wike’s actions reveal a deeper connection to the APC and urged him to join the party officially instead of pretending to be a part of the opposition.
Mohammed pointed out that Wike’s attempts to undermine his own reputation were transparent, and he expressed confidence that Nigerians would see through such political maneuvers.
Under his leadership, Mohammed emphasized that members of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) are united in their efforts to reduce Wike’s influence.
He noted that governors and party officials within the PDP are committed to dismantling the APC’s policies, which he believes have failed and are not suitable for Nigeria’s future.
Mohammed reiterated his stance that the PDP is working diligently to ensure the APC is removed from power in 2027.
In his statement, the governor stressed that under his direction, the PDP is fully focused on defeating the APC.
He highlighted the party’s commitment to rejecting the APC’s policies, which he describes as ineffective and harmful to the nation’s progress.
Mohammed’s comments reflect growing internal conflicts within the opposition as they prepare for the 2027 elections.
His words underscore the urgency and determination of the PDP to reclaim leadership and restore what they believe is needed for the country’s betterment.
As the 2027 elections draw closer, Mohammed’s criticism of the APC and Wike’s stance could set the tone for a contentious political battle.
With Wike’s support for the APC coming under scrutiny, the PDP’s efforts to challenge the ruling party are likely to intensify, and the role of key players like Wike may continue to spark debates within the opposition ranks.
