Britney Spears has entered a rehabilitation facility voluntarily, about a month after being arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs.
Her representative confirmed that she checked into treatment, stating that the move is part of efforts to address her well-being following the incident.
The arrest occurred on March 4, after authorities received reports of a driver operating a BMW at high speed and in an erratic manner on a California motorway. According to the California Highway Patrol, Spears showed signs of impairment when she was stopped and underwent field sobriety tests at the scene.
Following the arrest, her representative described the situation as inexcusable and indicated that her support system was working on a structured plan to help improve her overall health and stability.
Spears is expected to appear in a California court in the coming weeks to face the DUI charge.
The singer remains one of the most successful figures in pop music, with a career spanning decades and multiple chart-topping songs.
From 2008 to 2021, she was under a conservatorship that placed control of her personal and financial affairs in the hands of her father. The arrangement was later terminated, restoring her independence.
