Nigerian singer Peter Okoye, popularly known as Mr P of the P-Square duo, has raised concerns over rising insecurity after reportedly witnessing a crowd gathered around a suspected bandit in the Lekki area of Lagos State.
The singer shared his experience on social media, expressing shock at the incident and suggesting that insecurity may be spreading into parts of Lagos previously considered relatively safe.

Expressing his concern in a mix of English and Pidgin, he wrote: “Omo! Just coming back from a video shoot around Lekki and saw a crowd gathered. Na, there I hear say dem catch suspected bandit. Omo, dem don enter Lagos o!”
The post quickly sparked widespread reactions online, with many Nigerians expressing alarm over the possibility of criminal activity extending into the Lagos metropolis and calling on security agencies to respond swiftly.
As of the time of filing this report, the Lagos State Police Command has not released an official statement confirming the identity of the individual involved or the details surrounding the incident.
