Join the fight: COPDEM exposes threats to Nigeria’s democracy and credible elections
DDM News

The Coalition for the Protection of Democracy (COPDEM) is rallying Nigerians to join a transformative movement aimed at protecting and strengthening the country’s democracy.
Diaspora digital media (DDM) gathered that the initiative focuses on monitoring elections and providing accurate, real-time results to expose irregularities, restore public trust, and ensure credible electoral outcomes.
COPDEM’s mission is ambitious yet vital: to cover all 120,000 polling units, 8,813 electoral wards, and 774 local government areas across Nigeria.
To achieve this, COPDEM is urging Nigerians from all walks of life to join its community, participate in the democratic process, and contribute to creating a transparent electoral system.
According to Hon. IG Amaechi Okoro, Delta State Media and Publicity Secretary of COPDEM, “We are calling on all Nigerians passionate about democracy to join us in this movement.”
“This effort is not just about monitoring elections but also about transforming the system, exposing election malpractice, and ensuring that every vote counts,” he added.
One of the key strategies for achieving these goals is COPDEM’s innovative Election Manager App.
By leveraging technology, the coalition aims to digitize result collection and verification processes, enabling instant tracking of election outcomes.
This approach promises to give COPDEM members unparalleled credibility, bolster public trust, and significantly enhance the credibility of Nigeria’s elections.
COPDEM is actively seeking individuals who are committed to safeguarding democracy and passionate about Nigeria’s future.
Interested citizens are encouraged to join the movement and contribute to this vital cause.
Registration is straightforward and takes less than three minutes.
To join, simply visit the COPDEM registration portal at www.copdem.org/register or contact their office lines at 08062557980 or 07040668516.
“Joining COPDEM is not just a commitment to democracy; it’s a step toward building a better Nigeria,” Hon. Amaechi Okoro emphasized.
“We need Nigerians to take action and be part of this historic effort to restore credibility to our elections.”
By joining the COPDEM community, participants become part of a nationwide network dedicated to transparency, accountability, and democratic integrity.
With the support of individuals from diverse backgrounds, COPDEM believes it can cover the vast electoral landscape of Nigeria and deliver results that reflect the true will of the people.
“This movement is for everyone who believes in Nigeria’s potential and wants to see a brighter future for our democracy,” COPDEM stated in its public call to action.
“Join us today and be part of the solution.”
