Supreme Leader of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, with his military leaders

The Supreme Leader of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has ordered the military to prepare for war against Israel.

The Supreme Leader reportedly told his country’s military on October 25, 2024, to prepare multiple different responses to an Israeli attack.

Khamenei, it was gathered however, is hoping to avoid an all-out war, according to New York Times sources.

Fears of an all-out war between the two enemies are rising after Iran fired missiles at Israel earlier this month.

Iran had fired around 200 ballistic missiles at the country sparking fears of an all-out war.

This followed the killing of Hamas Political Bureau chief, Ismail Haniyeh, in Tehran in July.

Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi said the country’s “action is concluded unless the Israeli regime decides to invite further retaliation.

“In that scenario, our response will be stronger and more powerful,” he added.

Israel, on its part, had vowed to retaliate against Iran.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the military said that retaliation is inevitable.

Netanyahu said: “We will stand by the rule we established: whoever attacks us—we will attack him.”
