Sat Guru Maharaj Ji on Friday asked embattled Senate President, Bukola Saraki to throw in the towel.
That is in order to safe image of the country in the International Community.
The spiritual leader, Guru Maharaj Ji is the founder of One Love Family.
Maharaj Ji gave the admonition while addressing newsmen.
He said that any truly distinguished senator that is worth his name and accolade should avoid showing any form of solidarity with him at the ongoing trial at Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT).
He said: “Enough is enough!”
“We can’t afford the image of the country to be ridiculed before the international community now that the nation has been endowed with divine providence to provide global leadership”.
“Saraki should do the needful and stop ridiculing the family’s name as well as battering the image and reputation of the National Assembly.
“He should therefore throw in the towel and resign immediately.”
“For now, any truly distinguished Senator that is worth his name and accolade should avoid showing any form of solidarity with Saraki in order to escape public ridicule and opprobrium”.
In contrast, though, the Deputy Senate President, Senator Ike Ekweremadu has pledged the alloyed support of the Senate to his principal.
Ekweremadu spoke after a closed door session of the Senate on Thursday.
He said that members of the hallowed chamber are united in their resolve to stand by the embattled Senate President through his ordeal.
