English Premier League giants, Manchester City, have reached a deal to sign 18-year-old Mahamadou Sangare from French club Paris Saint-Germain.

According to Diaspora digital media (DDM) reports, the agreement was revealed on Wednesday by respected football journalist and transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, on his verified 𝕏 account.

According to Romano, the young striker is set to undergo a medical check-up before officially joining the English side.

The deal is reportedly a free transfer, as Sangare’s contract with PSG is close to expiration.

Manchester City secured the agreement through a verbal commitment and is expected to complete the process shortly.

The teenager is set to join the Manchester City academy rather than the senior team immediately.

This move aligns with the club’s long-term philosophy of nurturing promising talents through its state-of-the-art youth development system.

Manchester City’s academy, known as the City Football Academy, has produced several first-team players and continues to attract global prospects.

Sangare’s move marks yet another addition to City’s growing list of high-potential recruits acquired from top European clubs.

Romano stated, “Manchester City have agreed deal to sign 18-year-old striker Mahamadou Sangare from Paris Saint-Germain on a free deal, here we go!”

He further added, “Verbal agreement in place, medical to take place, and one more exciting young talent for Man City Academy—winning the race for PSG gem.”

The announcement comes at a pivotal time in City’s campaign, as the team currently sits in fourth place on the Premier League table.

City trails behind current champions Liverpool, title contenders Arsenal, and resurgent Newcastle United.

Despite the intense competition, Pep Guardiola’s side remains focused on building a solid foundation for the future.

In a separate development, Manchester City received a major injury boost as two key players returned to training.

Norwegian striker Erling Haaland and Spanish midfielder Rodri are both back after long-term injuries.

Rodri had been sidelined with an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury but was seen training with the team on Wednesday, April 30.

Though he has resumed training, club officials are cautious about rushing his return to competitive action.

The Club World Cup has been identified as a more realistic return point than the upcoming FA Cup final or remaining league fixtures.

Meanwhile, Haaland is back on the training ground after recovering from an ankle injury.

An update on his fitness and potential return to match action is expected from Guardiola during Thursday’s press conference.

However, not all injury concerns have been resolved.

Defenders Nathan Ake and John Stones are still sidelined and have not rejoined training.

Their absence continues to limit Guardiola’s defensive options in a season where squad depth is crucial.

In transfer-related news, Manchester City is also showing interest in FC Porto’s first-choice goalkeeper, Diogo Costa.

Costa, 25, has earned 34 international caps for Portugal and is closing in on 200 appearances for Porto.

He is regarded as one of Europe’s top young goalkeepers and has attracted attention from several elite clubs.

Costa shares the same agent, Jorge Mendes, with Manchester City’s current first-choice keeper, Ederson.

This connection has fueled speculation about a possible goalkeeper switch in the upcoming transfer window.

Ederson, who has been instrumental in City’s recent successes, is reportedly a long-term target for Saudi Pro League clubs.

Though no official offer has been submitted, interest from the Middle East continues to grow.

Manchester City is believed to be assessing their goalkeeping department regardless of whether Ederson stays or leaves.

The club’s strategy appears to be focused on maintaining competitive depth while preparing for any sudden transfer changes.

Sangare’s arrival from PSG represents not just a youth acquisition but a part of the broader project to future-proof the squad.

With experienced players returning from injury and promising signings in the pipeline, Manchester City seems intent on sustaining its dominance.

The club’s focus on strategic recruitment and player development could play a crucial role in upcoming domestic and international competitions.

Mahamadou Sangare now joins the ranks of City’s next-generation prospects, aiming to break into one of Europe’s most competitive first teams.
