The returnees arrived in Nigeria on Wednesday through the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos, where they were received by officials of NEMA and other government agencies. According to the agency, the repatriation was facilitated by the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) in collaboration with the Nigerian government.

NEMA officials disclosed that the returnees, who had been stranded in Algeria for various reasons, were provided with immediate assistance, including food, medical care, and transportation to their various destinations across the country.
