NFF To Hire Foreign Technical Adviser For Super Eagles

Published

on

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has taken a drastic measure to salvage the struggling Super Eagles by hiring a foreign coach.

This decision comes on the heels of a dismal performance in the ongoing 2026 World Cup qualifying campaign, where the team currently sits in fifth place.

The yet-to-be-named foreign coach will take the helm ahead of the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers and the remaining World Cup qualifying matches.

It remains unclear whether current coach Finidi George will work under the incoming coach or be completely replaced.

The NFF has also announced plans to strengthen the technical foundation of the national team, improve scouting, and convene a Stakeholders’ Forum to discuss amendments to the current NFF Statutes.
