NICER, DDM, COPDEM partner to provide info tech-based scholarship for youths

Nicer Foundation, Diaspora Digital Media & Coalition for the Protection of Democracy (COPDEM) provide scholarship for youths in info tech.

The Nicer Foundation and Diaspora Digital Media (DDM), in conjunction with the Coalition for the Protection of Democracy (COPDEM) have declared their intention to collaborate and provide scholarship for promising youths in various fields of information technology.

The coalition made their intention known in a declaration made on Tuesday, January 14, 2025.

Nicer Foundation, which runs scholarship programs for youths, has declared its intention to sponsor some youths in the ongoing DDM Communications, IT and Media Academy Cohort 4 information technology training exercise.

Cohort 4, it should be noted, has kicked off at the DDM Villa located in Awka, the Anambra State capital, and online via a specified channel.

The Nicer initiative

Nicer Foundation is offering scholarship opportunities for DDM’s Cohort 4, as well as the Tekedia Mini-MBA program.

The initiative is designed to empower promising youths from the Abia, Rivers, Imo, Ebonyi, Enugu, Anambra, and Delta states.

In a statement announcing the initiative, the foundation stated:

“The NICER Foundation, in collaboration with Diaspora Digital Media, is proud to offer scholarship opportunities for the renowned Tekedia Mini-MBA program.

“This initiative is designed to empower promising youths from the following states – Abia, Rivers, Imo, Ebonyi, Enugu, Anambra, and Delta – with business, entrepreneurial and leadership skills, besides exposure to emerging technologies like AI and blockchain.

“Through this scholarship, selected candidates will gain access to world-class business education, equipping them with the essential tools and knowledge to excel in their chosen ventures and thrive in the global business landscape.

“Applications are open until February 29, 2025.

“Successful applicants will join the upcoming Mini-MBA cohort starting February 10, 2025.

“Don’t miss this opportunity to unlock your potential and redefine your entrepreneurial journey.”

Interested persons are advised to fill the form online and submit to the Foundation for proper documentation.

About COPDEM

Coalition for the Protection of Democracy (COPDEM) was formed by Nigerian Citizens inspired by the urgent need to contribute to the development of partisan politics and good governance in Nigeria.

The citizens include every Nigerian that subscribes to the ideals of egalitarian Nigeria as enumerated in the aims and objectives of COPDEM’s constitution.

COPDEM is a super PAC (Political Action Group) that emerged at a point of Nigeria’s national development through the coming together of groups and individuals at home and in the diaspora.

COPDEM has membership spread across the diaspora, the 36 states and the FCT working for a better and prosperous Nigeria by promoting democratic values, good governance, and the rule of law.

It recently sponsored a training programme for its personnel, as well as countless young Nigerians from at least 18 states.

The event was held at the DDM Villa located in Awka.
