British-Nigerian rapper Skepta has voiced deep concern over the growing insecurity and what he describes as rising injustice in Nigeria, calling on the international community to pay closer attention to the country’s challenges.
In a video that has since gone viral across social media platforms, the award-winning artist urged celebrities, activists, and global stakeholders to use their influence to amplify the struggles faced by Nigerians. According to him, the situation requires urgent global awareness and consistent advocacy.
Skepta explained that he has consistently used his platform to speak out against injustice and intends to continue doing so whenever the opportunity arises.
“There is so much injustice in Nigeria. And whenever I can, whether it is at my shows, verbally or through images, whatever I can do, we are going to speak up against injustice at all times,” he said.
The rapper stressed that while Nigerians are widely known for their resilience and ability to persevere in difficult conditions, they still need support from the global community to address ongoing issues affecting safety and stability in the country.
“Nigerians need help. We need people to speak up for us as well. We need to protect Nigerians. There is so much injustice in Nigeria,” he added.
Skepta further appealed directly to the international audience, urging them not to ignore the realities many Nigerians face daily, especially in relation to insecurity and systemic challenges.
His comments have sparked widespread conversation online, with many praising him for using his platform to highlight pressing issues affecting his home country.
