OBASA, SANWO – OLU AND PBAT

Discerning spirit is also a gift from GOD. Just like wisdom. In other words, the ability to read between the lines. The ability to decipher. Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa was outside the Country when he was removed as the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly .

The governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, was responsible for his removal.

The governor masterminded the impeachment.

The father of the current politics of Lagos State and indeed, APC, is Bola Tinubu, who is now the President of the Country.

In removing Obasa as Speaker , the governor would have sought and gotten the nod of the President.

Reason being that, though President, his first Constituency remains Lagos State.

And he can’t be too busy to the extent of not being keen in what happens in Lagos.

The removal of Obasa without direct approval from Mr President was a serious let down on him.

And he didn’t take it lightly. It wasn’t funny for him. From all indications.

I was waiting for Obasa to talk on his impeachment.

It took him almost a month to speak. He was not quiet for the beauty of doing so.

He was talking with the President. And when he was sure that the President was not in support of his removal, he opened up.

He spoke and rejected his removal as Speaker. He also went to Court.

The governor, Sanwo-Olu had refused or failed to appreciate one fact.

Himself and Obasa, being governor and speaker respectively, were all products of Tinubu’s Political Family or enclave.

They’re all products of long period of loyalty, steadfastness and dedication.

And the governor could not be enjoying his own reward and decided to stop Obasa from continuing to enjoy his own reward. That should not be the case.

Looking at the activities or developments so far, you could clearly see ” Federal might”, being deployed and dispensed in favour of Obasa.

The picture speaks a lot about who’s beating the drum for Obasa.

And for BAT, if Sanwo- Olu could take such major Poliitical action of removing Obasa as Speaker without reference to him , he could do worst things tomorrow.

And he should be checkmated or made to understand something fundamental.

That, he can’t run Lagos State as Governor without taking into consideration the compound and simple interests of the man who “owns” the land.

That’s the message. And the man must have understood that by now.

The female Speaker was ignorant of all these.

Just innocent of the whole thing. Yet, she must have learnt a lot from the developments.

Obasa not coming back as speaker today or tomorrow would only mean that, BAT must have succumbed to several appeals from prominent Yoruba People

in Lagos and outside Lagos to give the Lagos State Governor soft landing. To save him from the disgrace or shame the coming back of Obasa as Speaker would bring to him.

Otherwise, Obasa staging a come -back as the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly is a fait accompli.

You must study and understand the politics of your immediate ” CONSTITUENCY” to overcome.
