Ogunmodede, Ilechukwu appointed Assistant Coaches of Super Eagles

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has announced the appointment of two new assistant coaches to support Super Eagles coach, Austin Eguaveon.

Daniel Ogunmodede, head coach of Remo Stars, and Fidelis Ilechukwu, head coach of NPFL champion Rangers, will serve as assistant coaches for the upcoming 2025 AFCON qualifiers against Benin Republic and Rwanda.

Both Ogunmodede and Ilechukwu bring a wealth of experience and expertise to the Super Eagles coaching crew, with proven track records in the NPFL.

Their appointments are seen as strategic moves to bolster the team’s technical bench and provide valuable insights in the quest for success in the upcoming qualifiers.

The NFF’s decision comes after the federation and Bruno Labbadia failed to reach an agreement, leading to the Technical Director taking charge of the Super Eagles for the upcoming qualifying matches.

Nigeria is preparing for the crucial matches against Benin Republic and Rwanda, as Nigeria seeks to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
