Nigerian Petrol Station Owner, Kills His Wife, Commits Suicide (Photos)

A socialite and petrol station owner in Akure, the Ondo State capital, Sesan Adelabu, popularly known as Emirates, has reportedly macheted his wife Mrs Bolu Adelabu to death.

DDM NEWS gathered that after killing his wife, Adelabu was said to have committed suicide by drinking sniper, an insecticide substance.

DDM News gathered that the ugly incident occurred at his Alagbaka GRA in Akure metropolis.

A source who does not want his name mentioned said his wife’s lifeless body was left on their marital bed, while the socialite died inside his toilet after drinking the insecticide.

According to the sources, the late Adelabu has a chain of business investments, including petrol stations in Akure, the Ondo state capital.

Their corpses have been deposited at the Akure General Hospital.

Confirming the incident the state police spokesperson, Funmilayo Odunlami- Omisanya, said that the socialite murdered his wife and thereafter committed suicide.

According to the PPRO the Commissioner of Police, Abayomi Oladipo, has ordered the Homicide section of the State Criminal Investigation Department to take over the case of the alleged murder and suicide of a socialite.

Funmilayo Odunlami-Omisanya said, “On the 9th of February, 2024, a distress call was received by the police of A’ Division Akure, by men of the Special Protection Unit.

“The officer attached to the deceased in his house in the Alagbaka area in Akure, received a call from the deceased child around 6 pm asking after his father, because he was not picking up his calls, the policeman while trying to inform his principal, discovered that he was lying, faced down and lifeless in the toilet while his wife’s body was found on the bed with multiple cuts suspected to be machete cuts on her head and face.

“An empty sniper container was also found at the scene.

“Investigation has commenced to unravel the circumstances leading to the unfortunate incident and the scene cordoned off to enable police to do the needful please.”

Unconfirmed sources alleged that the socialite caught his wife in bed with one of his security guards.

His wife’s body was left on their matrimonial bed while that of the socialite was found inside his toilet after drinking the insecticide.

Adelabu, according to sources; had a chain of investments including petrol stations in Akure.
Their corpses have been deposited at the Akure General Hospital mortuary.

Contacted, the state police spokesperson, Funmi Odunlami, confirmed the incident.
