Senator Shettima talk disone on Tuesday during di4th meeting of di National Council on Privatization (NCP), wey dem hold for him office for Presidential Villa, Abuja.

He urge members make dem provide beta leadership for Naija, dey warn say posterity go judge dem well if dem try to be fair to di citizens.

Shettima, according to wetin him spokesman, Stanley Nkwocha talk, stress say di nation’s core national assets dey very important for di economic plan of President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

“Di work of dis council never be more important, especially with di way economy be now.”

“To maximize value from core national assets na key point for di economic agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and we go, as council, play our part to unlock di national prosperity wey Mr. President dey work for every day.

“Di agenda today dey full; di items range from very important post-privatization mata to critical sector reform issues wey show di strong contributions wey di bureau and dis council dey make towards our national aspirations.

I dey encourage members of di council to contribute well to our discussions today.

Posterity go judge us well if we make effort to be fair to di Naija pipo.

For di meeting, di Council receive report presentations from im finance, technical and legal committees wey dem all approve and ratify.

For im presentation to di Council, di Director General of di Bureau Public Enterprises (BPE), Mr. Ayodeji Gbeleyi, dey seek di approval of di NCP for di proposed 2025 work plan of di Bureau, wey dey prioritize revenue-generating projects and dey strengthen concession management capacity, among others.

Also for him presentation, di DG give update on how dem don set up di Naija Independent System Operator (NISO) for di National Council on Privatisation wey dey aim to improve grid management, transparency and reliability.

Council self receive update reports on di restructured Kano, Kaduna, Benin and Ibadan Electricity Distribution Companies as well as di Naija Electricity Regulatory Commission orders on how dem go transfer regulatory oversight of electricity markets for Edo, Enugu, Ekiti, Imo, Kogi, Oyo and Ondo States.

Other important update wey dem report for di meeting include operations for di Zungeru Hydropower Plant; Kainji and Jebba Hydroelectric Power Plant, and di proposal to move 4 turbines from Afam power plant go Ughelli power plant, all dis na to increase power supply to di national grid.

Present for di meeting na di Ministers of Budget and Economic Planning, Sen. Abubakar Bagudu; Power, Mr Adebayo Adelabu; Water Resources and Sanitation, Prof. Joseph Utsev, as well as oda members of di NCP.
