According to reports, the woman had been checked into the facility by an unidentified man who spent the night with her.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the man, whose identity remains unknown, blindfolded the woman and allegedly murdered her in the room before fleeing the premises. The motive behind the killing is still unclear.

As of the time of filing this report, no one has come forward to identify the deceased, and her relatives or close contacts have not been located.

“Confirmed. Three suspects in custody,” Edafe stated in a WhatsApp message to the publication’s correspondent in Warri.

The incident has sparked public concern and condemnation from civil society groups and community leaders.

Human rights activist, Comrade Israel Joe, has called on members of the public who may have missing relatives to visit the police for possible identification of the victim.

“A human being was murdered within their business premises.

“The place should be shut down until investigations are concluded and necessary safety checks are in place,” Joe said.

He also issued a public warning to young women to always inform family members or friends of their whereabouts.

According to him, a growing number of cases involving missing or murdered women have been linked to unmonitored movements and undisclosed outings.

“It is dangerous and unwise for young women to go out without telling someone.

“Too many have died under similar circumstances,” he added.

The Delta State Police Command has assured the public that the investigation is ongoing and has pledged to ensure that all those involved are brought to justice.
