OGUN STATE — The Nigeria Police Force has recovered a stolen Toyota Matrix and arrested two suspects linked to an armed robbery incident in Atan Ota area of Ogun State.
The operation forms part of ongoing efforts by security agencies to clamp down on criminal activities and vehicle theft across the state.
Diaspora Digital Media (DDM) notes that the vehicle was reportedly stolen during an armed robbery attack, prompting swift action by the Ogun State Police Command.
According to police sources, investigations led to the arrest of two suspected car dealers believed to be connected to the theft and possible resale of stolen vehicles.
The suspects were apprehended after intelligence gathering and tracking operations enabled officers to locate the stolen car.
Authorities confirmed that the recovered Toyota Matrix has been secured as evidence while further investigations continue.
Police officials stated that the suspects are currently in custody and will be charged to court upon conclusion of ongoing inquiries.
