Police speak on alleged killing of travellers in Kano

The Kano State Police Command has firmly denied social media reports claiming an attack on an 18-seater passenger bus and the killing of its occupants.

In a statement issued on Saturday, SP Abdullahi Kiyawa, the Command’s Public Relations Officer, labeled the reports as entirely false and urged the public to ignore them.

He assured residents that the police are thoroughly investigating the source of the misinformation.

SP Kiyawa stressed that those spreading such falsehoods would face legal consequences, reinforcing the Command’s dedication to upholding peace and security.
