Rivers State Governor, Siminilayi Fubara, has denied allegations made against him by Dr. George Nwaeke.

According to Diaspora digital media (DDM) reports, he described the claims as deliberate falsehoods aimed at tarnishing his reputation.

In a video shared by Channels Television, Fubara expressed deep disappointment over the accusations.

He stated that he was shocked by Nwaeke’s claims, which he described as baseless.

The allegations included accusations that Fubara masterminded the attack on the Rivers State House of Assembly.

Fubara questioned Nwaeke’s motives, wondering why a longtime associate would betray him.

“Where have I offended him?” Fubara asked in disbelief.

“Why will he cook this level of lies against me?” he added.

The controversy intensified after Nwaeke released a press statement.

According to The Nation Newspaper, Nwaeke accused Fubara of political sabotage.

He claimed that the governor aimed to destabilize Rivers State and undermine President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

These claims gained widespread media attention, fueling political tensions in the state.

Fubara’s suspension by the National Assembly further complicated the situation.

Amid the crisis, Nwaeke’s wife contacted Governor Fubara in distress.

She claimed that her husband had gone missing after traveling to Abuja.

In the video, she sounded desperate and pleaded for help.

“My husband is in trouble, you people should help me,” she said.

“He went to Abuja this morning after Ogiri called him,” she added.

“I can’t reach him since. My husband is in trouble,” she emphasized.

Fubara maintained that he had no involvement in Nwaeke’s disappearance.

He insisted that the allegations against him were politically motivated.

Nwaeke’s wife defended her husband’s actions amid the unfolding crisis.

She claimed that he resigned because he refused to sign documents against Fubara.

“It’s not him. He resigned because he could not sign anything against you,” she told the governor.

She suggested that political pressure forced Nwaeke into making the allegations.

The controversy has further deepened Rivers State’s political crisis.

Supporters and critics of both men continue to debate the unfolding drama.

The situation highlights the intense power struggles within the state.

The outcome of this dispute could have national political implications.

This development adds another layer of complexity to the political tensions in Rivers State.

Observers believe that the unfolding events may shape the future political landscape of the state.
