Nigerian singer Qing Madi has opened up about a dispute with her former label boss, making a series of serious allegations during a recent TikTok Live session.
The fast-rising artist claimed that her former label executive engaged in misconduct, including forging her signature and taking actions that negatively impacted her music career.
“She stole from me, did a bunch of weird things like forging my signature,” Qing Madi alleged during the live broadcast.
The singer also revealed that the dispute escalated into a legal battle, with her former label boss filing a $2 million lawsuit against her. According to Qing Madi, the case was ultimately unsuccessful.
“She sued me for $2M and she lost the case,” she said.
In addition, Qing Madi addressed issues surrounding her music, particularly her project “Pepper Me,” which she claimed was taken down without proper justification.
“She took down ‘Pepper Me’. I worked with my team to prove it’s an illegal takedown,” she explained.
The artist further alleged that despite efforts to resolve the issue, there were continued attempts to remove her work from platforms.
“They went through the corners again to take down the project,” she added.
Her revelations have sparked conversations online, with fans and industry observers reacting to the claims and calling for clarity on the situation.
As of now, there has been no official response from the former label boss regarding the allegations.
