Suspects arrested in connection with man’s death after sex romp in Ondo Hotel

The Ondo State Police Command announced on Tuesday that two individuals have been arrested in connection with the death of Abiodun Akintomowo in Ondo town.

Akintomowo reportedly lost his life after engaging in a sexual encounter with a woman suspected to be his girlfriend at a hotel located in the Akinjagunla community on Sunday.

According to Mrs. Funmilayo Odunlami, the State Police Public Relations Officer, one of the suspects is the deceased’s girlfriend, while the second suspect is the owner of the hotel where the incident occurred.

The police did not disclose the identities of the suspects.

Odunlami revealed, “The deceased fell ill after the sexual encounter with the lady in the hotel, so he was rushed to the hospital and later died. The two suspects are still in our custody.”

The police spokesperson stated that the investigation into the matter is ongoing, and the remains of the deceased have been deposited at the morgue of a hospital in Ondo town.

A source also narrated that the woman raised the alarm when the deceased collapsed in the hotel room after the alleged sexual encounter.

The hotel’s management and residents rushed to the scene in an attempt to rescue the man, who was later confirmed dead.

The hotel management reported the incident at the Yaba Divisional Police Station in the community, leading to the police’s intervention and the evacuation of the deceased’s body to the morgue at the University of Medical Sciences in Ondo town.
